所谓新媒体,是指借助数字技术、互联网技术、移动通信技术等传播信息的载体,它的本质特征是数字化和互动性;传统媒体主要是互联网出现之前的媒体。新媒体与传统媒体的竞争关系体现为信源主导地位层面的竞争、受众层面的竞争;合作关系体现为新媒体的传统化、传统媒体的新媒体化;互补关系体现为新媒体弥补传统媒体的时空不足、传统媒体为新媒体提供经营管理和传播规律等方面的养分。当前传媒业主要呈现出两大发展趋势:其一,超级平台聚合型全媒体开始出现;其二,跨界融合将成为主潮。
