[Kates M, et al. JB U Int. 2012, 110 (9): 1325-1329) Upper urinary tract transitional cell carcinoma (UTUC) is an aggressive, relatively rare urological malignancy, The proportion of tumors is less than 5%. In the past 30 years, its diagnosis and treatment have undergone significant changes. Many of the more rare advanced technologies of the 1980s have now been widely used, such as ureteroscopy and abdominal tomography (CT, MRI). A similar change has taken place in the treatment of UTUC. It is well-known that some patients with UTUC after treatment will have bladder cancer. However, no population-based study has so far been conducted to analyze the risk factors for UTUC secondary to bladder cancer.
