前言菲律宾寻找斑岩铜矿广泛地运用了激发极化法,四年来发现了几个大型新矿床,另外还在几个生产矿区周围圈定了矿体的延伸部分和周围的矿带.菲律宾的斑岩铜矿床板块构造对菲律宾斑岩铜矿床的形成起了很大作用.如图1所示,巴拉湾岛和民都洛岛的西半部位于不活动的或隐伏火山稳定区.菲律宾群岛其余部分是一个典型的岛弧体系,东海岸为活动的消减带.菲律宾海沟的突然中断被认为是将吕宋岛切成两半的转换断层所致.有一主要断层系叫做菲律宾断
Preface The Philippines has extensively applied the Polarization Method to find porphyry copper deposits and has discovered several large new deposits over the past four years and has delineated the extension of ore bodies and surrounding ore zones around several production mines. The lithostratigraphic plate tectonics played a significant role in the formation of the porphyry copper deposit in the Philippines, with the western half of Palawan and Mindoro located in an inactive or insulted volcanic stable, as shown in Figure 1. The sudden break in the trench in the Philippines is thought to be caused by a conversion fault that halved the island of Luzon. A major fault system is called the Philippine break
