自上个世纪90年代以来全国各大艺术院校开始了各种形式学分制教学改革探索和试点并取得了一定的成效和经验,而近年来高等教育的大规模扩招又对教学改革提出许多新的课题。为了贯彻“宽口径、厚基础、强能力、高素质”的教育方针,以期学生能在踏上社会后适应面广和应变力更强,在这样的格局下面,造型基础课无疑面临着相应角色的转换。一方面造型基础课既要解决传统的造型问题,另一方面要开始新型专业结构的前期组合工作以及调节学生对专业教学转型时代的不良反应等问题,所以造型基础课程成为教学改革的焦点之一。
