1991年2月,吴明从条件优越的八桥站调来卸甲站主持工作时,一份镇人大代表就该站的行业作风、“三为”服务等方面的意见单,送到了他的手里.看到了差距,感到了压力.在站务会上,他明确表示:全站人员要共同努力,在短期内改变用户对卸甲站的看法.几年过去了,情况怎样?该站1992年通过用电标准化验收,1993年命名为一级电管站.1994年实现农村电气化,1995年完成扶贫通电任务,连续几年被高邮局评为先进单位,吴明也连年被扬州市供电局评为先进个人.他以实际行动带领一班人,实践了自己的诺言.
