Objective To analyze the effect of depression on the related indexes of elderly hypertension. Methods A total of 40 elderly hypertensive patients and elderly patients with hypertension and depression in our hospital in recent years were enrolled in this study. Patients were divided into two groups according to depression self-rating depression scale (CES-D) Patients with hypertension-related indicators of differences. Results There were no significant differences in the common indexes of Glu, Cr, TG, TC, HLD and LDL between the two groups (P> 0.05), while the biochemical indexes of CD14 +, Fib, Hcy and CRP4 in hypertension complicated with depression were higher than those in simple (P <0.01). The indexes of electrocardiogram of SDNN and SDANN2 were lower than those of hypertension alone (P <0.01). Conclusions Depression has no effect on various conventional indexes of elderly hypertension, and affects all the biochemical and electrocardiographic indexes.
