Research on the interaction of synthetic receptors with short peptides (3 to 20 amino acid residues) has drawn much attention because of their potentially important applications in the fields of protein isolation, biosensors, disease diagnosis and treatment, and basic biomedical research. This review summarizes the recent advances in the interaction between synthetic receptors and short peptides, the interactions between small molecule receptors and individual amino acid residues, the selective recognition of short peptides by small molecule receptors, the recognition of small molecule receptors The secondary structure of the peptide induction and recognition and the interaction between the polymer receptor and the short peptide, and the design of the short peptide receptor is proposed and prospects.
