我国的萧伯纳研究始于新文化运动时期,对其作品的译介、评价等受意识形态因素的影响一直较大。建国后的萧伯纳研究以宏观的综合研究和主题研究为主,尤其关注萧伯纳对资本主义社会问题的揭露。1978年后,研究视角日趋多元,除了继续深入研究“社会问题剧”之外,女性主义、创造进化论、比较文学、宗教等主题都受到了不同程度的关注,语言、文体等艺术特色以及萧伯纳的戏剧理论也引起了一些学者的研究兴趣。当代萧伯纳研究的学术性无疑更强了,更注重微观细节,但在切入现实、回应现实方面,则远不及鲁迅、茅盾等20世纪上半叶的学者,对社会现实的宏观关注偏少。
The study of George Bernard Shaw in our country started from the period of New Culture Movement, and the influence of the ideological factors such as translation and evaluation of his works has always been greater. After the founding of the George Bernard Shaw, George Bernard Shaw mainly focused on macroeconomic research and thematic research, with particular attention to the revelation of George Bernard Shaw on capitalist social issues. After 1978, the research perspective is more and more diversified. Apart from continuing to study “drama of social issues”, topics such as feminism, evolutionism creation, comparative literature, and religion have drawn varying degrees of attention. The arts such as language and style, George Bernard Shaw’s theatrical theory also aroused the interest of some scholars. The academic study of contemporary Bernard Shaw is undoubtedly more intensive and more attention to the micro details. However, it is far behind those of the first half of the twentieth century such as Lu Xun and Mao Dun in cutting into the reality and responding to the reality, with little attention paid to social reality.
