Both the opioid / kappa-opioid receptor (κ-OR) pathway and the angiotensin II (Ang II) / AT1 receptor pathway are important signaling pathways that regulate cardiovascular system function. For many years, many studies have been conducted on the protective effect of κ-OR and the activation of Ang II / AT1 receptor on the occurrence and development of cardiac arrhythmia. However, whether activation of κ-OR can negatively regulate Ang II / AT1 receptor pathway to play the role of anti-arrhythmia so far still lack of exploration. Based on the previous research results of the above two approaches, this paper explores the role of activated κ-OR in anti-arrhythmic action by negatively regulating the Ang II / AT1 receptor pathway and is expected to provide a new approach to the prevention and treatment of arrhythmia Research ideas.
