The AT & T 5 ESS ™ switch is a time-division digital switch that can be used in a wide range of telecommunications services including local, long distance, international and operator services. 5 ESS switch system provides low-cost, flexible, reliable mechanical and centralized control and management functions. This article describes the features of Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (referred to as OA & M) for International 5 ESS switches, highlighting features that reduce training costs and save 5 ESS switch maintenance expenses. OA & M performance is a fundamental element of 5 ESS switch designs. They remain capable of monitoring and controlling the system even in the event of overload. This switch has the ability to verify the switch with self-test hardware and software. Diagnostic and test functions can be performed at any time, on a regular basis or when the fault exceeds the threshold value. 5 ESS switch has trunk and subscriber line maintenance performance, the entire system test results and status can be flexibly recorded. OA & M capabilities are part of the new performance and business as 5 ESS switches evolve. For the user, operation and maintenance are more flexible.
