炭窑口硫铁矿的尾矿库选在距选厂3.5公里的山坡地带。为建造抗震性强、安全性高的尾矿坝,决定先进行水力旋流的尾矿分级和筑坝试验。 试验的主要设备为1台2/2PS砂泵和2台D250水力旋流器。经试验发现,若以43微米为分级界限,则沉砂中+43微米含量均可达90%左右,最大可达98.47%。沉砂的浓度约70%。溢流中-43微米的含量为55%,溢流浓度在20~30%之间。分级效率为56.65%,最高可为73.07%。水力旋流器的工作效果与进料压力关系密切,在炭窑口硫铁矿的尾矿分级试验中发现,当进料压力为0.4~0.6公斤/厘米_2时,工作效果较佳,进料压力>0.8公斤/厘米_2时,也有较好的分级效果。 在试验中,水力旋流器的进料方式分别为:高位矿浆槽进料、山上压送、直接泵压,这三种进料方式的分级效果如表所列。
