诗歌中充满了隐喻(metaphor),因而诗歌被称为"隐喻式语言"(束定芳,2000:120)。隐喻作为诗歌的生命,其转译的准确程度直接关乎着诗歌整体意境(artistic conception)的传达。隐喻翻译中需要了解诗歌写作的历史背景信息,民族特定文化,本体(noumenon)与喻体(metaphor object)的关联,作者的写作风格等等,这些都使隐喻的翻译颇具难度。该文将结合一些具体案例分析隐喻的翻译策略。
