记者应当“富”起来。不过,我这里所说的“富”,不是个人财富的积累,而是指积累丰富的知识。记者确有“穷”、“富”之分。有些人从事新闻工作多年,但对自己采访范围内的情况不甚了解,对有关的方针、政策也不熟悉,所以当他在采写新闻报道时,往往连最基本的背景材料都未能掌握。这样的记者,可以称他为“穷”记者。而另外有些同志,从事新闻工作时间虽不长,却谙熟党的有关方针、政策,对自己采访范围内的情况了如指掌,手头经常有较多的新闻报道线索,脑子中又装满“呼之即出”的资料。这样的记者,比之上面讲到的“穷”记者,堪称“富”记者了。当然,“穷”与“富”不是一成不变的。“穷”记者只要不甘于“穷”,是可以向“富”转化的。那么,“穷”记者如何才能“富”起来呢?总结一些“富”记者由“穷”到“富”的过程,可以概括为
