Subcritical 300,000 kilowatts of generating units with what kind of circulation of the boiler is everyone’s concern. In this paper, natural circulation boilers, auxiliary circulation boilers, low-rate circulating boilers and DC boilers do some calculations, and a technical and economic comparison. The paper lists the advantages and disadvantages of the four circulation boilers in tabular form, followed by some highlights and controversial issues. Items that are compared in the table are: parameters and capacities, hydrodynamic characteristics, operating characteristics, starting characteristics, water quality, structure and steel consumption, pump power consumption, economic comparisons and more.
