依据约2200站年的气象、水文、太阳黑子、大气环流和旱涝史料等方面的资料,通过综合分析和研究,提出我省江河水量丰枯趋势与太阳活动及大气环流变化存在着比较明显的相关关系,即太阳活动增强期,常盛行经向E·C型环流,有利南方暖湿空气向北推进,给北方降水创造有利条件,我省易出现丰水(洪涝)年;反之,太阳活动处于减弱期,常盛行纬向W型环流,南方暖湿空气北上受阻,北方降水相对减少,易出现枯水(干旱)年。同时,还提出我省存在着80年左右丰枯水大周期和22年左右的短周期。
