卡尔·米勒斯(1875-1955)是瑞典极负盛名的雕塑家,被认为是瑞典国宝级的艺术家。他曾经是法国雕塑大家奥古斯特·罗丹的助手,在雕塑艺坛上与亨利·摩尔并驾齐驱。卡尔·米勒斯以擅长制作公共性雕塑艺术尤其是喷泉雕塑而备受世人瞩目,他的雕塑作品遍及全球,很多雕塑精品被纽约大都会博物馆、英国泰特美术馆、丹麦史卡根美术馆、日本箱根露天博物馆、斯德哥尔摩国立博物馆、美国克兰布鲁克艺术博物馆收藏。2008年北京奥运会期间,《上帝之手》和《人与飞马》两件复制品由北京市政府收藏,现坐落于北京国际雕塑公园。卡尔·米勒斯的独特之处在于他热衷于多种多样的表现方法,不断地赋予他的作品以新意。西方古典雕塑、东方的绘画都能成为诱发他创作灵感的
Carl Milles (1875-1955) is one of the most famous sculptors in Sweden and regarded as a Swedish national treasure artist. He was once an aide to French sculpture master Auguste Rodin and kept pace with Henry Moore in the sculpture art scene. Carl Millers is famous for his work in the field of public sculptures, especially fountain sculptures. His sculptures are all over the world. Many sculptures are collected by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Tate Gallery in the United Kingdom, the Skagen Museum in Denmark Japan Hakone open-air museum, Stockholm National Museum, the United States Cranbrook Museum of Art collection. During the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, two copies of “Hand of God” and “Man and Pegasus” were collected by the Beijing Municipal Government and are now located at Beijing International Sculpture Park. Karl Millers is unique in that he is passionate about a variety of ways of expression, constantly giving his work new ideas.
