If you drive on the highway, suddenly the car’s engine has a point of failure. Before you even realize that something is wrong, your car has sent a detailed e-mail to the car manufacturer’s Internet site. This site identifies the company’s dealer closest to your failed car and sends them a message. The dealer’s employee looks for the desired part in the warehouse and arranges for a mechanic to meet you. When an email is sent to your car’s dashboard computer, reminding you that your car is at fault, you get a solution at the same time.
