杂交中籼由北纬３４．５度的徐州，移至北纬３７．５度的渤海湾稻区，显示出很好的增长 效果。胜利油田经５年试验，１９８９年杂交稻种植面积占水稻总面积的２５％，平均单产６５０公斤， 最高亩产９０４公斤。比早、中粳亩增２５０—３００公斤，比晚熟中粳亩增１００—１５０公斤。栽培上应采 取早播、早栽等早熟措施，确保安全齐穗；季节安排上朝前不朝后，使抽穗扬花期处于旬平气温 ２５．７℃时段，使抽穗至成熟处于日照充足的８一９月。
