伴随着世界教育文化的进步,多元文化教育成为世界文化发展的潮流。尤其是近年来,双语教育已经是各国都在努力发展的教育模式。美国是较早推行双语教育的国家,其发展历程大致可分为自由发展、限制发展、大力推广以及走向衰退四个阶段。由于受到政治、经济、文化等因素的制约,美国的双语教育走走停停,发展历程曲折复杂,其经验教训可为我国双语教育的发展提供参考价值与有益经验。
With the progress of world education and culture, multicultural education has become the trend of world cultural development. Especially in recent years, bilingual education has become an education mode that all countries are trying hard to develop. The United States is an early bilingual education country, its development can be broadly divided into four stages: free development, restricted development, promotion and recession. Due to political, economic and cultural constraints, bilingual education in the United States has to stop and go and its course of development has twists and turns complicated. Its experiences and lessons can provide reference value and useful experience for the development of bilingual education in our country.
