There are many ways to tell a story. The same story as a result of different ways of speaking, to the reader’s perception and the effect achieved is different. In the 20th century, the famous novelist Margaret Lawrence (1926-1987), the novel “Bird in the House”, fully utilizes the dual dimensions and the changing space of the first-person narration to objectively and truthfully tell the story of Canadian women in certain historical periods Survival status and rights demands. Lawrence’s creations were peaked in the 60s and 70s of the last century. It was an important period in which the emergence and development of feminism in the Western literary world (especially in the American literary world) was at that time. It was also an important history of Canadian society’s transition from patriarchal to gender equality period. It is noteworthy that Lawrence did not treat the gender inequality existing in society and family simply or absolutely. Rather, he made clever use of multi-dimensional narrative methods to outline and consider Canadian women living in social transitional period Multi-thinking, successful realization of their own creative thinking.
