珠江三角洲地区地质条件很差,而采用柱列式排桩加斜向桩支撑体系为围护结构的基坑工程。在基坑开挖过程中,当围护结构的变形、坑底的隆起、墙后土体的沉降以及基坑周边环境的变形等超过容许的范围时,就会造成基坑的失稳破坏或对基坑周边环境产生不利的影响,从而造成巨大的经济损失和不良的社会影响。
