This article analyzes the autobiography of “Living” by Gilman, the first wave of feminist social activists in the United States, and reinterpreting the dichotomous dichotomy between inside and outside. From the perspective of diathesis in diary and autobiography, Inner life and outer life are gradually unifying; autobiography I am the last voice, does not mean that Gilman become “men ” woman; on the contrary, her progress in human progress is based on the foundation of women The experience of daily life can only promote human well-being if we promote the progress of women. This argument enriches the academic study of Gilman’s personal narration, echoes the scholars’ discussion of the autobiographical writing by the public.
