《死水微澜》作为李劼人长篇“三部曲”的第一部,原本是要反映甲午中日战争后辛亥革命前对于中国社会意义重大,能够称得上历史转捩点的大事,但文本实际却呈现出世俗化的日常叙事对史诗式的宏伟构想的偏离。这种偏离主要表现在三方面:历史事件被世俗情欲叙述所掩盖;故事发生时期的历史真实被模糊化;细致的风俗环境描写对历史叙事的连贯性的偏离。
As the first part of Li Kui’s long trilogy, the original article was meant to reflect the important event before the Revolution of 1911 following the Sino-Japanese War of 1894. It was a significant event for Chinese society to be regarded as historical turning point. However, It shows the deviations of the secular daily narrative from the epic grand conceiving. This deviation is mainly manifested in three aspects: the historical events are covered by secular erotic narratives; the historical truths in the period of the story are obscured; the meticulous custom environment describes the deviation from the continuity of historical narrative.
