Leslie Federer as a pioneer in the criticism of popular culture in the United States, so far in the domestic academic community rarely introduced. As a deviant academic critic, Federer opens the door to exploring American classics from the perspectives of race, gender and sex. However, to the best of today’s revelation, Federer may be a rehearsal of contemporary cultural studies on literature Under the impact of frequent launches, the tolerant standpoint that literary criticism may adopt and the necessity of keeping pace with the times are inevitable. From the perspective of view, Federer advocated opening up the boundaries of elegant literature and popular literature, stressing that at the beginning of the classic age, most of the literature possessed the characteristics of popular literature and the economic motivation behind the literature. Therefore, Although there are implicit or explicit Freudian sentiments, there are undoubtedly quite significant referential meanings for all kinds of creative difficulties faced by contemporary Chinese literary criticism.
