Objective To observe the clinical effect of head hypothermia on neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIE). Methods Sixty-two children were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The control group was treated with conventional therapy. The treatment group was treated with head mild hypothermia on the basis of clinical efficacy and NBNA score. Results The total effective rate was 87.5% in the treatment group, which was significantly better than 76.7% in the control group (P <0.05). On the 14th day and 28th day after birth, the NBNA score of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusions Head subduction has obvious effect on HIE with few side effects and low incidence of related adverse reactions, which can reduce brain injury and is worth promoting.
