马来西亚铁路马来西亚铁路共有干线1,639公里,支线及站线2,083公里。轨距为1米。干线采用39.8公斤/米(80磅/码)钢轨,支线为30公斤/米(60磅/码)。轨长12.2米(40英尺),对焊至146.4米(480英尺)。少量长轨系铝热焊。轨枕为中等硬木,大部份作过防腐处理。全路共有桥梁855座,包括拱形圬工引桥在内总长19,817米(65,000英尺)。跨度自1.83米(6英尺)单跨至66.2米(250英尺)的多跨,分为下承钢梁桥及拱桥两类。设计荷载轴重12吨,以后改为53(S)机车及后部均布荷载3.2711电/米(1.3吨/英尺)。共有4,420座涵洞系钢筋混凝土圆管及皱纹管。高原地区共有15座隧道,9座在东海岸线,6座在干线,全长3,475米(11,398英尺)。
The Malaysian Railways Malaysia Railways has a total of 1,639 kilometers of mainline and 2,083 kilometers of feeder and station lines. The gauge is 1 meter. The main line uses 39.8 kg / m (80 lb / yd) rails and the spur line is 30 kg / m (60 lb / yd). Track length 12.2 meters (40 feet), weld to 146.4 meters (480 feet).
