OBJECTIVE: To study the quality and fatigue of chest compressions bystanders under different guidelines. Methods: Thirty-six female non-medical majors were enrolled. They were randomly divided into AHA 2005 group and AHA 2010 group. They were instructed and instructed according to the CPR guidelines of 2005 and 2010, respectively. Subjects who were enrolled in the study were subjected to a simple chest compressive force of 8 min. Before and after compression, subjects’ basic data were recorded. Depressed pressure, frequency and subjective fatigue score were recorded during compression. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups in the depth of compression (P <0.05). The heart rate, systolic pressure, The subjective fatigue score was significantly higher in the 2010 group than in the 2005 group (P <0.05) after 3 minutes. CONCLUSIONS: The compression quality following the AHA 2010 guidelines for non-medical female subjects was not significantly better than that of AHA 2005, increasing operator fatigue even over extended periods of compression.
