Though Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae(RSM)has been used widely in China as a remedy forcoronary heart disease,its effect on the atheroscle-rotic process has remained moot.The presentstudy on the experimental atherosclerotic modelof rabbit suggests that this drug could protect theintima from atherosclerotic damage in conditionsof hypercholesteremia.
