This paper analyzes the karyotype variations and evolutionary levels of 15 species of domestic Picea species that have been reported and their significance in taxonomy, origin and evolutionary direction. It also discussed the significance of karyotype data on conservation of germplasm resources, selection of elite species and selection of updated species.
