The toxic effects of fluoride are not limited to bones. Zhavoronkov’s (1977) reported that fluoride is toxic throughout the central nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidney, cardiovascular system, respiratory tract, and muscle tissue. Fluoride also causes membrane permeability and membrane-bound enzyme changes (Martin’s, 1980).
