固态微波元件和数字微电子学技术的发展,使地面对空监视雷达系统的构成和能力有了很大的变化。雷达在可靠性、可维修性和杂波抑制方面的性能得到改善。通过采用多个固态接收机和发射机、联机性能测试以及设备自动重组等措施来提高可靠性,通过采用通用电路组件和计算机控制的故障隔离测试来提高可维修性,通过自适应波形和信号处理,天线波束管理、最佳化多脉冲动目标显示电路、相干动目标检测处理机以及采用“透明的”跟踪器排除其它飞行器和鸟回波引起的虚警等办法来提高杂波抑制能力。通过讨论若干目前正在使用和仍在研制中的雷达系统来说明这些应用。
The development of solid-state microwave components and digital micro-electronics technology has greatly changed the composition and capabilities of ground-based air surveillance radar systems. Radar improves performance in terms of reliability, maintainability and clutter suppression. Improve reliability by using multiple solid-state receivers and transmitters, on-line performance testing, and automated device reassembly to improve maintainability through the use of common-circuit components and computer-controlled fault isolation testing, through adaptive waveform and signal processing , Antenna beam management, optimization of multi-pulse target display circuit, coherent target detection processor and the use of “transparent” tracker to exclude false alarms caused by other aircraft and bird echo and other methods to improve clutter suppression. These applications are illustrated by discussing a number of radar systems currently in use and still under development.
