《新剧本》1991年第2期上发表孟繁树的同题文章,作者认为:古代题材需要当代意识的关照,这是由艺术创作的根本目的及观众的审美心理决定的。新时期的剧作家对当代意识进行了积极而又自觉的追求,才使这一时期的新编古代戏取得了建国以来任何时期部无法企及的成就。代表性的剧作家是魏明伦、郭启宏、郑怀兴,他们各自的代表作是《潘金莲》、《南店遗事》、《新亭泪》、另外还有《山鬼》、《泥马泪》、《曹操与杨修》、《洪荒大袭变》等剧作都体现了强烈的现代意识。综观新时期的新编古代戏
The New Screenplay published the same title article of Meng Fan-shu in the second issue of 1991, the author thinks: Ancient themes need the consideration of contemporary consciousness, which is determined by the fundamental purpose of artistic creation and audience’s aesthetic psychology. The playwright of the new period has carried on the positive and conscious pursuit of the contemporary consciousness, which made the newly-developed ancient drama of this period obtain the unparalleled achievements of any period since the founding of the People’s Republic. Representative playwrights are Wei Minglun, Guo Qihong, Zheng Huai Xing, their respective masterpieces are “Pan Jinlian”, “South Shop legacy”, “New Pavilion tears”, in addition to “Shan Gui”, “muddy horse tears”, “Cao Cao And Yang Xiu ”,“ Great Wild Change ”and other dramas have embodied a strong sense of the modern era.
