The unified solution method in this paper can solve the bending of a rectangular plate supported by four sides under any load. This solution communicates the intrinsic relationship between Naivey’s solution and Li Wei’s solution, and explains why the classical solution has its limitations. The solution method has clear thinking, fast convergence, high calculation accuracy and wide application range.
