If I had the privilege of being able to set foot on India’s fertile and vibrant land, I would definitely stop under two trees. One is the Bodhi tree, because Sakyamuni had realized the true meaning of life under this tree; the other was the Aesculus tree because you had sat in the shade of it for a long time, my beloved poet. Your poems have never been deliberately imposing, and your yang songs have always been so clear and beautiful. It is like a babbling stream constantly flowing in my heart, and each of your poems is like a branch of this stream, though It separates halfway, but eventually it converges to the same destination. The name of this destination is called life. When I turned the last page of “Proposing Songs” over, I have never felt so clearly the glory of life.
