此装置是中国原子能科学研究院核技术应用研究所和院外企业联合研制生产的安检设备。整合了现代核探测技术、电子技术、射线技术、数据成像和图像处理技术,创造性地使用小辐射剂量对小汽车等物体进行快速扫描,摒弃了以往安检系统所惯用的电流法,而采用对γ光子直接计数的方法,来获取物体的透视图像。该检查系统包括了小剂量0.5~0.75Ci的60Coγ射线源,或0.9~1.5Ci137Csγ射线源,或射线发生器等。射线源放在可以自动开关的屏蔽容器里。射线的接收采用碘化铯加光敏二极管组成的γ
