在初中《义务教育物理课程标准》(2011年版)的课程目标中明确指出,让学生:经历科学探究过程,具有初步的科学探究能力,乐于参加与科学技术有关的活动,有运用研究方法的意识;保持探索科学的兴趣与热情,在认识自然的过程中获得成就感,能独立思考、敢于质疑、尊重事实、勇于创新。这些科学品质的培养与提升,都要充分发挥物理实验教学的作用。
