Atonement,as the representative work of British writer Ian Mc Ewan,is of high educational significance.This article will adopt Ethical Literary Criticism to analyze the ethical dilemmas and ethical choices of two characters in the novel:Briony and Robbie.By putting the characters into diversified ethical problems,the writer has strengthened the necessity of reflection and atonement in real life,and also the moral responsibilities one should bear.The analysis of characters’ethical problems can better highlight the writer’s moral value.
