In order to further resolve the issue of Taiwanese businessmen’s “complaints”, in October 1994, the relevant leaders of the State Council agreed to set up a “Office of Taiwan Businessmen to Set up a Coordination Division” in the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. The Taiwan Affairs Office Economic Affairs Bureau of the State Council Economic Affairs Bureau has initiated a trial operation of the complaints from Taiwanese companies on May 5, 1995. The main task of the “Taiwan Businessmen Complaints Coordination Office” (hereinafter referred to as the “Coordination Office”) is to accept complaints from Taiwanese companies and classify them.
