邮电部受国家计委委托,于1988年11月17—19日对武汉邮电科学研究院承担的国家项目—光通信系统试验场进行了鉴定验收。光通信系统试验场具有的34Mb/s、140Mb/s光通信设备(包括有人、无人中继器)及各种光缆组成的两套光通信模拟系统;无人中继站由太阳能、风能、油机、蓄电池等供电,并实现了自动监测和自动倒换;光通信系统试验场的人工气候室能给例行试验提供各种不同的环境温度和湿度。因此,能对四次群以下的光通信系统、光电器件、光纤光缆的各种性能指标进行测试和例行试验,达到了预期的目的。并为国家商检局认定为国家《光通信进出口商品检验室》。光通信系统试验场的建设,对我国光通信技术的发展将起积极的作用。
