本文介绍一种混合式显示体制。它以新的设计思想把全模拟显示系统和全数字显示系统的特点组合在一个低成本的单电子束显示管中,以实现平面位置显示(PPI)型的雷达显示器。可以看到,来自两种明显不同的图象坐标平面的“极坐标”回波信号和“直角坐标”电视式扫描及其产生的符号和矢量,通过适当的电子线路显示在同一屏幕上。通过一部样机取得的极好实验结果证实了本文所推荐的显示体制的实际可行性。采用单电子束显示管以及一般说来不太先进的电子器件这一特点就有可能降低生产成本和减少系统的重量和尺寸。因此,这种混合式体制是特别有吸引力的,非常适合于对成本敏感的市场,如海上民用导航。最后,由于直角坐际画面和其极坐标画面实际上是分开的,这种设备较简单,因而对提高雷达可靠性和可维修性起重要作用。
This article describes a hybrid display system. It combines the features of a full analog display system with a full digital display system with a new design concept in a low cost single electron beam display tube to enable a flat position display (PPI) type of radar display. It can be seen that “polar” echo signals and “Cartesian” television scans and their resulting symbols and vectors from two distinctly different image coordinate planes are displayed on the same screen via appropriate electronic circuitry. The excellent experimental results obtained from a prototype confirm the practical feasibility of the proposed display system. The use of a single electron beam display tube and, in general, less sophisticated electronic components has the potential to reduce production costs and reduce system weight and size. Therefore, this hybrid system is particularly attractive and well suited to cost-sensitive markets such as maritime civil navigation. Finally, as the right-angle inter-view picture and its polar picture are actually separate, this equipment is simple and therefore plays an important role in improving radar reliability and maintainability.
