The South-to-North Water Diversion Project is one of the key construction projects in the 10th Five-Year Plan of China, which is costly and difficult for the world to see. Here to introduce readers to the South Water Diversion Project Overview, with a view to cause concern. The project has three water diversion programs: the west, midline and east. The west line program is to divert water from the Tongtian River, Yalong River and Dadu River to the Yellow River in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River so as to solve the water shortage problem in the northwestern region. The midline project is led by the Danjiangkou Reservoir in the upper reaches of the Han River and crosses the Yangtze River, Huaihe River, Yellow River and Haihe River The river basin has arrived in Beijing and Tianjin via Henan and Hebei provinces. The eastern route draws Yangtze River water from the Yingjiang River at the Sanjiang River in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It travels northward along the northern part of the northern part of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and across the Yellow River to Hebei and Tianjin. Such a magnificent water conservancy project, rare in the world.
