From the awakening of fashion creativity to the landing of commercial design, it is perhaps a step away, or perhaps out of reach.
This is kind of helplessness between fashion and market, kind of looming pain of industry and business, and an unmeasurable distance between dream and reality.
In order to better match-make design and market, industry and commerce, improve the fashion ecosystem of Keqiao, help more fashion designers to innovate and start a business, build a new platform for design creativity, foster new growth driving force, and open a new engine for “technology, fashion and green”, guided by China National Textile and Apparel Council, sponsored by People’s Government of Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, and jointly organized by Construction Management Committee of China Textile City, Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, China Textile Magazine, China Fashion Association, Fashion Dream Incubator, and EQFC.CN, “China Textile City Cup”2019 Global Fashion Design Elite Challenge, a global high-end fashion event, is to come onto the stage in the summer of 2019.
As a brand new professional creative event, “China Textile City Cup” 2019 Global Fashion Design Elite Challenge has been different from other traditional events since its inception, paying more attention to the coordinated development of local industry and international fashion trends, and focusing on the integration and intergrowth of fashion industry and supply chain. To this end, ever since the start-up, the event has launched orientation invitation to the global highend design talents, providing a platform where both domestic and overseas fashion designers with the capability of fashion creativity, business control, brand control and supply chain integration, can show their talents and make their originality real.
2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, and it is also the key year for the victory of the 100th goal of building a well-off society. After the textile industry has undergone four decades of reform and opening up, “apparel”, as the “head of the people’s growing needs for a better life”, is bound to usher in an important period of strategic opportunities and fashion changes.
From the world fabric distribution center to the global fashion source, Keqiao is dressing up the world fashion with high-quality fashion fabrics. Today, Keqiao has formed a fashion system based on raw material development, fabric research and development, garment & home textile design and selfowned brand cultivation. “Keqiao fabric” has become an IP that cannot be ignored in the global fashion industry. Not only that, Keqiao, as the permanent meeting place of the World Textile Merchandising Conference, has gathered the world’s top design talents and fashion flow. The unlimited business opportunities along the “Belt and Road”, the fashion opportunities from “Silk Road from Keqiao to the world”, the irresistible temptation to construct “world textile capital” ... the fertile soil of the industry and the source of creativity has no doubt laid a solid foundation for the strong opening of this competition. As such, the theme of this year’s competition “Fashion Transformation” speaks for itself. Themed on “Fashion Transformation”, from the very beginning of the contribution invitation, the event has been guiding the participants to make their design, systematically and creatively, from the aspects of lifestyle, color, texture, functionality and environmental protection, highlighting such a new position and a new label of “technology, fashion and green”. In this competition, it is not difficult to find out the designers’deep thoughts on the theme and the self-expression of the individuality. The works not only focus on the practical application of “intelligently manufactured fabrics in China” into garments, but also reflects organic combination of technology, fashion and green.
Till the initial evaluation of the event on August 13th, the organizing committee had received 450 contributions from 19 countries and regions, covering France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Russia, Japan, Canada, India, Egypt, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Iran, Djibouti, Fiji Islands, Congo, Mainland China as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions China. After the review, 20 domestic and foreign designers were selected for the final of the competition.
In the era of media integration, how to provide big data cloud management to better support the industrial matchmaking, how to offer more space for industrial cooperation to all contestants, and how to use the “temperament” of Keqiao fabric to make the ultimate “appearance level” of fashion, has become the direction in which every participant works hard. At the beginning of the planning of the event, the organizers began to cooperate with multiple parties, including EQFC.CN which is an online textile city, to provide a fabric production fund worth 1,500 yuan for all finalists. In addition to the fabrics for the finalists, the shortlisted designers can also experience the characteristics and charm of China Textile City fabric companies in the display and sales of e-commerce channels. China Textile City’s high-quality fabrics were endowed with fashion extensions in design, while the creative concept of the designers also found the path of realization of value.
On the stage of the final, increasingly more Chinese emerging designers create outstanding works in the industry with an inclusive international vision. There are also more and more overseas senior designers who bring their unique ethnic and cultural personality to China for a fashion blending.
“2019 The Second World Textile Merchandising Conference” will be convened on September 27th in Keqiao, Shaoxing City. The conference will focus on the theme of “open collaboration, technology driven, fashion transformation”, to explore the issues of the global textile industry chain value chain restructuring, China’s position and development direction in the new development of the world textile fashion industry, etc., multidimensionally and thoroughly. 赛事以“时尚跃变”为主题,从征稿开始便引导参赛者从生活方式、色彩、面料肌理、功能性、绿色环保等多个维度进行系统化的创意设计,彰显“科技、时尚、绿色”纺织新定位、新标签。在本届参赛作品中不难发现,设计师对主题的深邃思考和自我个性的张扬,作品在注重“中国智造”面料与成衣转化的实际应用时,更体现了科技与时尚、绿色的有机结合。
截至8月13日赛事初评,组委会共收到法国、意大利、荷兰、西班牙、俄罗斯、日本、加拿大、印度、埃及、泰国、哈萨克斯坦、乌克兰、伊朗、吉布提、斐济群岛、刚果、中国大陆及港澳台地区,共计19个国家和地区的450位在职设计师的投稿参与。经评审,最终有20位国内外设计师选手晋级成功,随后他们将采用中国轻纺城的时尚面料,将创意进行成衣转化。
融媒体时代,如何将大数据云端管理为产业对接提供更好的支撑,如何为所有参赛选手提供更大的产业合作空间,如何用柯桥面料的“气质”与时装的“颜值”做到极致,已成每一个参与者为之努力的方向。在本届赛事策划之初,主办方就开始与网上轻纺城多方合作,为所有入围选手提供价值1500元的面料制作基金。入围设计师除了可选购制作决赛作品的面料,还能体验到中国轻纺城面料企业在电商渠道展示、销售方面的特色与魅力。在决赛现场,中国轻纺城的优质面料被全球设计师赋予时尚外延。而设计师的创意理念,也找到了价值的实现路径。
在决赛的舞台上,越来越多的中国新锐设计师以兼容并蓄的国际视野,创造出业界优秀作品。也有越来越广的海外资深设计师,将其独具民族特色、文化个性的时尚元素带到中国,进行时尚的交融。
9月27日,“2019第二届世界布商大会”将在绍兴柯桥盛大召开。大会将围绕主题“开放协同·科技驱动·时尚跃变”,多维度深入探讨全球纺织产业链价值链重组、中国在世界纺织时尚产业发展新布局中的地位和发展方向等方面的议题。
而9月27日16:30,“中国轻纺城杯”2019全球时装设计精英挑战赛颁奖典礼也将作为本届布商大会的重要配套活动强势上场。届时,来自全球的TOP20选手将汇聚新时期国际纺织之都——绍兴柯桥。
在这里,怀揣着设计的梦想,自带着创意的光环,他们将向来自海内外的400余位重头嘉宾展现全球创意的精华与中国智造的完美结合。
