The discovery of a statue of a naked woman over 35,000 years ago provided significant evidence for the “explosion of abstract symbols” that occurred in the earliest Homo sapiens. The archaeologist Nicholas Conrad described in the 459 issue of the British journal Nature [1] a rather significant archaeological discovery - arguably one of the oldest depictions of human beings in the world - The impressive Mammoth ivory is carved with only 60 mm of detail and impressive statues (Figure 1). There are several reasons for this discovery.
