在2000年“贵州省民族地区生态调查”顺利完成后，贵州省民族研究所、贵州省民族研究学会决定将2001年的民族调查以“贵州省民族地区旅游资源及开发”为主要内容进行。这次专题调查是1983年开始的月亮山、瑶山民族调查（即“六山六水”调查、贵州省民族调查）的第十九期调查。
After the “Guizhou Province Ethnic Areas Ecological Survey” was successfully completed in 2000, Guizhou Institute of Ethnic Studies and Guizhou Institute of Ethnic Studies decided to carry out the national survey of 2001 with the theme of “Tourism Resources and Development in Minority Areas of Guizhou Province”. This special survey is the nineteenth survey of the Moon Hill and the Yao Mountain Ethnic Investigation (the “Six Mountains and Six Rivers” survey, Guizhou Ethnic Investigation) started in 1983.
