As we all know, high chromium cast iron has a higher hardness and a certain impact toughness, therefore, it has been successfully used in metallurgy, building materials, electricity and other industries, but because of the existence of easy to brittle defects, it limits the scope of use. With rare earth elements of high chromium cast iron deterioration, and the appropriate heat treatment, can make this cast iron impact toughness and hardness.
