The authors describe the morphological ultrastructural features of five different sites of olfactory mucosa-supporting cells in the salamander: 1) a microvilli surface containing the endosome-like vesicles below the level of the olfactory nodules located in olfactory sensory neurons and The microfilaments in the conglutination of the small ribbon plane are characteristic of the apical region. 2) The supranuclear area contains coarse and slip inner plasm, inner netter complex and secretory vesicles. A small number of supporting cells that display morphological signs of secretion are presumed to have low rate secretory activity at baseline. 3) The nuclear zone contains a columnar nucleus surrounded by a microfilament cytoplasmic ribbon.
