Among the nine novels written by Virginia Woolf, “Waves” is undoubtedly the most difficult part. This highly ethereal and abstruse piece integrates all the writer’s thoughts on life, life and art. The life course of six young men and women in the novel represents not only the mortal beings, but also the different sides of the existence of human beings as individuals. Center figure Bernard is not only a representative of collective consciousness, but also a writer’s personality mask. Under the macroscopic view of nature represented by the sea, the works show the writer’s exploration of life experience and essence of life.
