“商团”特指近代中国以商人为主体成立的一种准军事组织,源于上海之万国商团。这支由公共租界工部局直接指挥的武装部队组建于1853年,从它诞生的那一天起,担当了维护租界当局统治的角色,严重侵犯了中国的主权。万国商团犹太分队是锡安主义的成功之作。犹太分队虽然没有参加过实战,但是积极救助来沪犹太难民,在日本侵略者进攻上海时布防公共租界,事实上也支援了反法西斯的斗争,其历史作用主要还是积极的。 “Business Group ” refers specifically to a modern Chinese businessman as the main body set up a paramilitary organization, derived from the Shanghai International Trade Group.
