“中国区Messenger服务将于10月31日关闭。但不用担心,您的联系人不会丢失。系统内所有在线通信服务会整体迁入Skype。”2014年8月28日,中国的Windows Live Messenger(简称“MSN”)用户收到了这封微软Skype官方发来的邮件。这意味着MSN正式退出中国市场。这事其实早有预兆,2013年3月15日,微软宣布正式关闭全球范围内的即时通讯服务MSN,仅保留中国地区服务。然后又撑了一年半载,这个小绿人终于撑不住了。民众基本表示无所谓,因为MSN早就死了。但很多人都会表示惋惜,顺便回忆一下旧时光。2005年4月MSN正式进入中国,

This means MSN officially withdraws from the Chinese market. In fact, this was a warning. On March 15, 2013, Microsoft announced that it officially shut down MSN, a global-wide instant messaging service, and only retained services in China. Then for a year and a half, the little green man finally couldn’t hold back. The people basically said that it does not matter because MSN died long ago. However, many people will express their regrets and recall the old time by the way. In April 2005, MSN formally entered China.
