随着西方工业化的完成,多数国家成为“富裕社会”中的一员。在这种背景之下,人们的消费模式从主要满足基本物质需要到考虑所购物品的象征意义,从消费物品本身到消费符号价值,导致了消费主义文化的形成与发展。在这种消费文化的影响下,人们通过以商品所具有的符号性以及消费的过程彰显自己的个性和品位,是一种符号化的消费。
With the completion of industrialization in the West, most countries have become members of the “affluent society.” Under this background, people’s consumption patterns mainly range from satisfying the basic material needs to considering the symbolic meaning of the purchased goods, from the value of the consumer goods to the consumption symbols, leading to the formation and development of a consumerism culture. Under the influence of this kind of consumption culture, it is a symbolic consumption that people demonstrate their individuality and taste through the symbolic nature of goods and the process of consumption.
